Meet Tim Scheuritzel

B.A, History, Princeton University ‘23

J.D. candidate, Emory University, Expected ‘29

Tim grew up in Philadelphia and learned to row on the water the sport was built on. At The Haverford School, he set the school's lightweight record and pulled a 6:26 2k, earning a seat rowing lightweight at Princeton.

In college he brought his 2k down to 6:17 at 155 pounds and helped power one of the most dominant stretches in Princeton lightweight history. In 2023, his boat went undefeated, swept Eastern Sprints and the IRA National Championships, and raced at the Henley Royal Regatta.

He has lived every part of the path he now coaches: earning the speed, refining the technique, and navigating recruiting to a top program. That is exactly what he helps his athletes do.

Meet Joe DiMarino

B.A, Public Policy & Business, Princeton University ‘22

Joe is a New Jersey native and a mentor at heart. He currently runs marketing and operations for our team at Open Water Rowing. Recruited to row at Princeton University, Joe has led a number of several successful companies, some of which focused on college admissions and youth development. He looks forward to mentoring youth towards embarking on an athletic path he once took himself.

  • When I started with Tim my 2k was stuck. In 3 months he had me down 30 seconds to 6:40 as a sophomore lightweight, and just as important, he showed me exactly which coaches to email and when. He is such a great person and coach, I am so grateful.

  • Tim rebuilt my stroke from the catch up. The monthly video reviews were brutal in the best way. My splits dropped, my racing got smarter, and college coaches noticed the difference.

    —Felipe M

  • As a parent, the recruiting process felt impossible to navigate. Tim gave us a clear plan and straight answers at every step. Our son ended up with options we'd only dreamed about.

  • I went from not sure I could row in college to having multiple Ivy League offers. Tim believed in the work before I did, and the erg numbers and race results followed.

    Emily B.

  • I dropped from a 7:05 to a 6:26 2k working with Tim over a year. That jump put me on the radar of programs I never thought would look at me.
